backside

So far, so good on my Printed Silk Cardigan. Took a while, but the largest component is finished. Just started the sleeves which will be hours of mindless knitting. They are done entirely in K1P1 rib stitch and will take some time, too. I love the embossed diamond stitch. It took a bit for me to get the knack, but once I did, it was smooth sailing. The raised part of the stitch is a "twisted knit" and depending on which direction you knit determines which direction the stitch is slanted. Done on #3 needles, this garment will be a somewhat fine gauge and have wonderful drape.

my poor couch

I keep saying that I need new furniture....thinking about saving this love seat just for Kozmo and putting it in the room off the kitchen.

more from Mama Roux

these fabulous cable needle organizers can be found at Balls and Skeins, the most fabulous yarn shop in Sonoma County!! you can also purchase through Mama Roux's ETSY shop. see link...shop local...buy handmade!!

Mama, you have done it again!

Click on below link to check out what Mama Roux has cooking in her ETSY Shop.
Top of needle holder has a velcro flap. You can hang from a curtain rod or a cute hanger (that's what I did). Gorgeous and handy!

Circular Needle Organizer

My precious Addi Turbo circs were a tangled mess inside of a plastic box. No more!! My dear friend Nina of Mama Roux Handmade fashioned these beautiful organizer/holders just for circular knitting needles and labled each "slot" with the needle size. No more disorganized, tangled pile. These needles cost a fortune and need to be kept free of kinks. It is also a great way to see my "inventory" so I don't duplicate purchasing needles that I already have. This lovely holder is PERFECT. Nina made a bunch of them up for Balls and Skeins and I know they will be a big seller!!
